Garment Manufacturing at the Indies factory
Manufacturing

Cut · Sew · Finish.

Forty lines organised by product type rather than by order, so knitwear, tailoring and activewear each run on machinery and operators suited to them.

Automatic spreading and cutting, dedicated sewing lines by product type, industrial washing, tunnel finishing and export-ready packing.

Cutting

Automatic spreading and CNC cutting with marker efficiency reported per style. Shade-band segregation and bundle ticketing mean panels from one dye lot stay together through sewing — the single biggest cause of shade mismatch, eliminated at source.

Sewing

Lines are set by product family with a supervisor and in-line QC per line. A style is sewn against a sealed PP sample kept at the line head, and the first ten pieces off any new style are measured before the line is released to run.

Wash, finish, pack

Industrial washing for garment-dye and softening effects, tunnel finishing and hand-press for tailoring, then trimming, tagging and packing to your carton spec with metal detection as the final gate.

How a collection is made

Four stages, one accountable supply chain.

Every Indies programme follows the same route from first brief to loaded container — managed by a UK account team and produced on Indies-owned floors in India.
