Fabric Manufacturing at the Indies factory
Manufacturing

In-house fabric mill.

Knitting, dyeing and finishing under our own roof removes the longest and least predictable link in most supply chains — the third-party mill.

Circular knitting, dyeing and finishing in-house means we control quality, colour and lead time — from single jersey to structured French terry.

Knitting

Circular knitting across gauges produces single jersey, interlock, rib, French terry and fleece from 120gsm to 400gsm. Because the machines are ours, a fabric trial is a day's work rather than a mill booking.

Dyeing and colour

Reactive, pigment and garment dyeing with lab dips returned in 72 hours. Shade is approved against your Pantone or physical standard under D65 and store light, and the recipe is locked to your account for repeats.

Finishing and testing

Compacting, brushing, enzyme wash and peach finish, followed by shrinkage, spirality, GSM, pilling and colourfastness testing on every lot before it is released to cutting.
