Printing at the Indies factory
Manufacturing

Every printing technique.

Print method is chosen from the artwork and the order size, not from what a supplier happens to own — because we run all of them.

From short-run digital prints to long-run rotary, we handle placement prints, all-overs, sublimation and specialty foils in-house.

Choosing the method

Digital for photographic detail and short runs, rotary for long-run all-overs at the lowest unit cost, screen for opaque colour on dark ground, sublimation for full-panel polyester graphics. We will tell you plainly when your artwork is fighting your chosen method.

Colour and placement accuracy

Strike-offs are approved before bulk on the actual bulk fabric. Placement repeats run up to 1.6m and are registered against the cut pattern so a print lands where the design intended on every size.

Wash durability

Prints are tested to 30 domestic wash cycles for crocking, cracking and shade loss. Hand-feel is checked too — a print that survives washing but sits like plastic is still a failure.

How a collection is made

Four stages, one accountable supply chain.

Every Indies programme follows the same route from first brief to loaded container — managed by a UK account team and produced on Indies-owned floors in India.
